On Monday, May 14, 2012, I had the privelege to bring some Foundation FLY to Lied Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada. In speaking to a combined group of sixth and eigth graders, I brought my story of my middle school and high school academic experience in Las Vegas,\u00a0 my experience in receiving the Gates Millennium Scholarship<\/a>, and my experience with achieving my dreams. The group of students were receptive and the students enthused me with their dreams and their declared goals to reaching their dreams.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, I shared inspirational words with Lied’s administrative team, specifically Principal Kimberly Bass-Davis.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Amy Grimble (2nd from the\u00a0right)\u00a0invited me to speak to her class. As a family friend, it was an honor to come and speak to her class. Combined with Grimble’s class, I spoke to the students of two additional teachers (pictured above).<\/p>\n

The experience and my time at Lied Middle School yielded great inspiration for the students, teachers, and myself. It is truly an honor for God to place you in a position to positively influence youth, when so many entities are negatively influencing.<\/p>\n
