[Foundation FLY]: Bringing Foundation FLY to a Group of Students at Lied Middle School, Las Vegas, NV.

On Monday, May 14, 2012, I had the privelege to bring some Foundation FLY to Lied Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada. In speaking to a combined group of sixth and eigth graders, I brought my story of my middle school and high school academic experience in Las Vegas,  my experience in receiving the Gates Millennium Scholarship, and my experience with achieving my dreams. The group of students were receptive and the students enthused me with their dreams and their declared goals to reaching their dreams.

Afterwards, I shared inspirational words with Lied’s administrative team, specifically Principal Kimberly Bass-Davis.

More insight on my time at Lied Middle School…

Mrs. Amy Grimble (2nd from the right) invited me to speak to her class. As a family friend, it was an honor to come and speak to her class. Combined with Grimble’s class, I spoke to the students of two additional teachers (pictured above).

The experience and my time at Lied Middle School yielded great inspiration for the students, teachers, and myself. It is truly an honor for God to place you in a position to positively influence youth, when so many entities are negatively influencing.
